Job purpose:
The Finance Director is a key STAS senior leader team (SLT) member and leads a fiwe-person Norwegian financial team.
The FD is expected to take a holistic view of Scan Tech's finances and make data-informed decisions or recommendations to enhance our financial performance. Sound financial knowledge will be essential to effectively managing budgets, forecasting financial trends, analysing data to determine potential risks, and supporting the organisation's growth strategy.
Dimensions:
- The FD has responsibility four a team of four covering: Cost Control, Accounting, FP&A and Payroll.
- The FD will also support the SLT and other functions in the organization, including but not limited to Sales, Rental, Contracts, Supply Chain, Engineering & Projects.
- The geographic region will be predominantly Norway but also supporting our activities in Canada and new growth areas like Malaysia & Indonesia.
Principal accountabilities:
- The key areas of this role are:
- Help formulate and manage financial strategy linked to short and long-term strategy planning.
- Analyse financial performance against determined KPI's
- Prepare financial reports including but not limited to Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts etc.
- Oversee budget planning and forecasting.
- Manage audits, compliance and tax preparations.
- Support the Senior Management Team (SLT) with financial analysis and risk mitigation.
- Manage Norwegian finance and accounting team.
- Conduct internal financial reviews.
- Oversee cost control in EPCIC projects.
Knowledge, experience and skills required:
- The role of Financial Director requires higher financial education at master's degree level.
- The applicant should be qualified as a "Siviløkonom" a Norwegian protected title for a master´s degree within economy & administration.
- Over five years relevant experience including reporting to Norwegian GAAP & IFRS.
- Experience with data analysis and financial forecasting, knowledge of relevant Norwegian laws. The FD should be experienced in financial planning, managing budgets and spends, using accounting & finance tools, audit and compliance.
- Should be analytical, organized, detail focused, have a strategic mindset, able to communicate well with all stakeholders and to mentor the finance team.
- Fluent in both Norwegian and English.
